It is surprising how few people participate in life-long learning in Hungary. We as employers also have a responsibility in this. Of course, the time used for training/development is taken from other activities but this also has a lot of factual or perceivable advantages. Therefore, we treat management training and the employee development programmes with high priority.

What´s the solution?

The aim of the program is to develop up-to-date professional skills and day-to-day work adaptability of employees. For this, Budapesti Erőmű Zrt has launched a training for three target groups: a career programme for young and talented employees, a management training for existing managers, and an expert training for those who work in key but not management positions. Realisation usually takes half a year from the beginning, including application and selection, and the training itself lasts for 1-1.5 years.

Business connection

The advantages of the trainings are mainly on the human side realized for Budapesti Erőmű Zrt. While the business effects are less measurable, the negotiation skills of the employees improve or their communication becomes more efficient. This can lead to considerable profit at business negotiations. It also guarantees employee’ commitment and competence.

Results

Thanks to the trainings, a clear development is seen in the commitment, qualification, acceptance, long term thinking, ability to change attitude, cooperation, teamwork and intellectual horizon of the employees. The people participating in the training become more loyal and mutually accepting towards each other. And this results in an efficient work.
