What´s the solution?
Under our sustainability program called „Brewing a better world” we aim to create a world-class brewery.
The main condition for sustainable operation is maintaining a qualified, multitasking organization with the lowest possible production costs and environmental impacts. This requires the development of an ideal organizational structure and a stable organization providing the competences and skills needed for the expanding duties at an individual level. At an operator level, this means that beyond the operation of the machines, they will be able to detect and troubleshoot errors, participate in or lead development projects.
This can be achieved through the development of competence profiles, individual development plans that are based on evaluation and targeted competence development.
It is a big challenge to take time for these improvements while being busy constantly. That is why we have introduced the so-called Training days, when the production stops and colleagues attend professional and skill development trainings and educational programs. In addition, in-service trainings from more experienced colleagues are essential. These senior colleagues are developing their presentation and coaching skills at a Trainer Academy we have created in order to make the development process even more effective.
This is a long-term development project, to which the key is the integration of the elements (staff development, engagement, plant equipment development) into our daily operations. We regularly review our long-term plans and adjust each step to the current circumstances. The project proceeds step by step, taking the maturity level of the organization into account.
We set up a plan divide it into yearly and monthly goals, which is communicated to our colleagues. This allows everyone to see the expectations, the development goals and where they are in this development process clearly. Positive attitude, extra effort, and improvement are recognized, this way increasing the commitment of our employees and the corporate commitment index. At corporate level, this results in being more efficient: reducing inventory shortages, increasing sales, improving sales performance and customer collaboration.
At company level, this results in a more effective functioning: reducing the short of supplies, increasing the volume of sold items, improving of the sales department and the customer cooperation.
