What´s the solution?

We are trying to promote the integration of newcomers to the company and to get to know the co-operatives more thoroughly during the quarterly Orientation Day. During these occasions, besides the introduction of the organizational units, the main task is also the more informative acquaintance, including the top management. Due to the complexity of our portfolio, we also have a very diverse set of knowledge that we want to share with “organizational knowledge”. The ALTEO Academy has become its official platform. The staff present here will give lectures on interesting and up-to-date topics in their field. ALTEO Academy consists of one presentation every 2 to 3 months.

Business connection

In our view, the day spent on training is not a cost but an investment. We encourage the life long learning of our colleagues, broaden their horizons and increase their commitment, allowing our company to become more competitive. An additional benefit is that this makes teamwork and cooperation stronger, so that joint work will be more effective and smooth within ALTEO. The smooth collaboration can be a competitive advantage.

Results

The programme will help participants widen their knowledge and interests and learn about the company’s work even beyond their professional area. This is a tool for self-development and enhancing cooperation between departments. It is however hard to translate the impact of the programme into numbers, so for this reason we focus on qualitative factors. The interest and enthusiasm we have already experienced from people is an indicator of its success.
