Dr. Miklós Süth

Dr. Süth was born in Pápa in 1970. He is married and has four children. Veterinarian doctor (1996), food hygiene veterinarian (1998), postgraduate TQM expert (2001). After graduating from the University of Veterinary Medicine, he received his graduate degrees from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Budapest Business School, Faculty of International Management and Business. From 2015, he is associate professor at the Szent István University, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences. From 1996, he works at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Food Hygiene. From 2003, he is councillor at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Animal Health and Food Control, Food Safety and Quality Control Division. From 2004, he is director and chief veterinarian of the National Food Chain Safety Office (NFCSO). From 2005, he is head of department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Animal Health and Food Control and chief veterinarian, then head of the Food Chain Safety, Animal and Plant Health Department and chief veterinarian. From 2008, he is secretary of the Food Chain Monitoring State Secretariat and chief veterinarian. Between 1996 and 2010, he was member and leader of several national and international working groups on food hygiene, food security and agri-food industry. From 2010, he is strategic director of Fornetti Franchise. He is founder and chairman of the Functional Food Council.
