Dr. György Pataki

Dr. Pataki is member of the Community-based Research for Sustainability Association (CRS) and one of the Eastern- European members of the UN Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Multidisciplinary Expert Panel.

He graduated as an economist from the Budapest University of Economic Science (now: Corvinus University of Budapest), then continued his studies at the University of Cambridge and Erasmus University in Rotterdam. His main research areas are: corporate environmental management, corporate social responsibility, conservation economics, public participation in environmental and conservation policy, participatory action research in sustainable rural development, socio-economic assessment of ecosystem services, international competitiveness, the relationship between international trade and the environment, social transformation, solidary economy.
