Hydraulic engineer, designer, expert

Mr. Kun received his degree in hydraulic engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, then acquired a second degree in European Union finance from Budapest Business School. He began his carrier as planner and after few years of practice, he started his own engineering company, of which he was director for 15 years. As water treatment plant designer and expert, he was involved in major national water utility investments and the conduction of national water management programs. Including the full-scale wastewater sanitation project in Budapest, the network expansion of the Marosvásárhely channel and the preparation of the Hungary River Basin Management Plan.

He was board member of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers Water Management and Hydraulic Engineering Department for six years. Since 2010, he worked on his field of specialisation in regional water management at the Ministry of Rural Development and the Ministry of Interior Affairs. From 2012, he worked with water utility services at the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) (previously: Hungarian Energy Office). Recently, he works as advisor of the Vice President responsible for public services.
